I’m a highly experienced book editor based in London, specialising in commercial non-fiction.

 

I love working on books at all stages of the publishing process – from developing initial ideas and researching proposals to wrestling with big structural edits and focusing on the fine details of copyediting and proofreading.

 

I also work as a freelance project manager for several major publishers, shepherding books through the publishing process from start to finish, keeping an eye on budgets, managing other freelance designers and editors – and, of course, keeping the author(s) happy and in the loop at all times.

 

With thirty years of experience in publishing, I’m pretty confident I can deal calmly and efficiently with most things that are thrown my way – whether it’s a nightmare schedule, a complicated full-colour design or a manuscript that needs a complete overhaul.
